I don't know if this helps or not, but the principle trumpet player on a lot of those old albums was a gentleman named Don Schmaus. He is a retired high school band director in the Central Florida area, and I believe he may be teaching some courses at either Seminole and/or Valencia Community College. He is a very good director and his high school bands were always well respected in the state of Florida for their abilities. In fact I was under his baton for the Orlando Concert Band before I moved, a fairly decent community band, but he has since retired from that also. I know he does have an email address, but I don't know what it is. You may be able to locate it through Yahoo!, or one of the other search engines/portals.
