394 is HB-20 , which is what I play now..HB-21=392,,and 2P = 390.

I like my 20 , it is lighter than the 21 and has a different 5th valve position (like The York tubas) ..and a little smaller bore than the 21..

I don't know why I bought a 20 (at the time Hirsbrunner factory only had 20 available so i bought it)but I must say it is a very good tuba .. I

As far as PT and HB comparison.. I think Perantuccis are excellent instruments ,especially rotary models,they have really warm,dark and smooth tone,
Hirsbrunners are not as easy to play as PTs , I wish my first tuba was a PT,not a HB..

But I am getting comfortable with it now after almost 2 years..
