This isn't a proffesional orchestra, but still the same I thought I's share.
I was asked to play for a local college for a concert becuase their tuba player had a family emergancy and needed to fly back to England. Well I made it to two rehersals and everything seemed fine. The performance night came and I was only needed in the two first peices. Well everything went well enough, after I was done playing I snuck out into the audience to hear the rest of the concert. Well right in the middle of the last movement in the last peice the conducter suddenly stopped conducting, threw his baton down. Everyone stopped playing and he exclaimed "AAAHHHH" and walked off got in is car and drove away.
This was the last time I ever saw him working at that school.
that was odd.
