Our former Euro Jet Setter cut off the last note of the sixth movement of a seven movement suite. He whipped the stick down, stood there, waited for five or six seconds, muttered "Bloody 'ell..." and turned to face the audience. He announced that it was okay to applaud, encouraged them to do so, and then was informed by the Principal 'Cellist that a movement still remained. It was great timing on the part of the 'Cellist.

Another time (at the Symphony Ball) we were playing background music. He cut us off mid phrase and announced that it would be difficult for the Symphony Patrons to appreciate the Symphony unless they all shut up!

We bitched about this guy for twelve long years, but the Board did not see a problem until he pulled that one...he is gone, thank the powers that the be...
