"Them Basses" (in 6/8 time).

"Purple Carnival" march

"March 'Grandioso'"

"British Eighth"

are a few.

I can sympathize. My high school band had an all-state flute and sax, an all-state (later became a professional) trombone, an all-state horn, a percussionist who ended up playing with the "Dell-tones" (well, some have heard of that band) and all of the tuba players who graduated between 1970 and 1975 ended up either making their living playing the tuba part-time or full-time, or ended up in some related music industry. Do you think we had ONE good trumpet or clarinet? nope. Our band had incredible "credentials", and (as a European friend of mine is now on record as being quoted as saying) "it stinks".
