I saw the New York Phil. in concert a little while back, and Warren Deck was playing on a 6/4 tuba that didn't at all appear to be a Meinl Weston 2165. I thought that he was playing a different tuba because he may have been looking for a different type of sound for that particular program, but it has been mentioned in some previous posts that he has gotten away from the 2165 altogether.
So-
What is he playing now?
Maybe Bin Love or another one of his students can answer this question?
ps-I really couldn't care less what kind of tuba people are playing on as I feel its the player that matters and not the axe. However, I found this curious since Warren help design that tuba.
