Chuck, the N.R.O. really isn't really like the Chicago Civic nor the New World Symphony. Those two actually pay "something" and last all year, rather than just for eight weeks in the summer. The N.R.O., however, is considered the "pinnacle" of "summer" orchestras (those consisting of conservatory students and young regional orchestra members).
