I heard the Atlanta Symphony last night perform Mussorgsky's Prelude to Khovanshchina, Rachmaninov's Concerto No. 3 and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4. Or, as many of us low brass folks would say, "They played a couple of things and TCHAIK FOUR!"
So, The Finale to Tchaik 4 is one of my favorites... What is your favorite Finale (or final movement)?
My favorite, like many of you I'm sure, is Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique.
By the way, Mike Moore rocked on the Tchaik... Garrick Ohlsson "Rached" on the piano. (couldn't resist)
