I think Matt covered (my school) FSU pretty well, although to be fair, I don't think the ensembles are as tough to get in as he says. The teacher (Paul Ebbers) is a really nice, down-to-earth guy and a VERY insightful musician. He will definitely ensure that you have strong fundamentals. Also, scholarships are much easier to attain than you'd think. You should definitely audition at FSU, if you haven't already. And best of all you can come party at my townhouse, which is conveniently located within walking distance of the school of music.
