For the most part, people seem to say stay way.
They guy next to me in a band I'm in plays an old one that's been through a basic disassemble and repair job. Its plays wonderfully (in fact, I used it for my audition into this band before I got my horn) I thought it played fairly solid, with the expected intonation quirks (plus he had the slide set to play in tune for him).
He claims it to be better than the rest of the 641s he has played, and contributes that to its almost-an-overhaul. I think he just found a good one from that model.
But I say, play it, if you like, you get. Rotors aren't my thing, but if I was still on BBb, and could find one like this one, I would thing twice.
