If they don't have "feedback" I don't bid. If they have bunches of favorable feedback, I don't let a few negatives hold me back. I too have purchased some nice instruments from e-bay. I have also been mildly dissapointed a few times at what I have received. If you don't mind fixing small things like stuck slides and water key springs, you can pick up a bargain. Just remember what you think is great condition may not be what the seller thinks is great condition.
