What me too said!

Ebay is a seller's market for specialty items. This shouldn't
be surprising considering the size of the market Ebay can reach
versus the corner music store. If you are looking for a real
bargin, check out your local newspaper or yard sale, but if you
know what you want and are willing to pay a fair price there are
deals to be had at Ebay. There is also and army of people trying
to sell nothing for something to people who want something for nothing.

It's best to follow the market for a while before deciding on a price.
I've noticed that for some items, not necessarily musical instruments,
the market can become quickly saturated. A rare, sought after item will
be offered and will receive a high price. Later several other similar items
will be offered at once (perhaps because their owners saw the auction price!)
and the items will sell much cheaper.

Be very careful about shipping. Most sellers do not know how to ship musical
instruments. Don't count on insurance to cover damages. Shippers make it
difficult to collect unless the package has exterior damage, while instruments
are usually damaged because they were not properly secured inside the package.
