YES! It will be Friday through Sunday at the Lighthouse on East 59th Street in NYC (between Madison and Lexington Avenues). There is a tribute to Walter Sear on Sunday and a fair amount of tuba stuff this year. You can join on the spot (registration is downstairs) and attend the whole conference or go to one or another day. Best deal is the whole thing. I always get something significant out of the seminars as well as enjoy the performances and visiting with Matt and the other instrument folks.

I go every year with my daughter who plays trumpet; she spent 1/2 hour talking with Howard Johnson last year, has met, talked and jammed with people like Marc Gould and Rich Szabo, Ray Vega and other trumpet types, and has gotten more inspiration there than almost anything (she's in 8th grade and plays with the Principal Orchestra of the Norwalk Youth Symphony -- fatherly brag).

Unfortunately, we may miss it this year because of my skiing injury.
