Kalison, of Milan, Italy, has just produced a wonderful 5-valve Eb tuba that's small in appearance but BIG on sound. I couldn't believe how responsive this horn was when I played it. Definitely check this out if you can. Also, the Besson Eb's (both front action and top action valve models) and the Yamaha Eb's are worth looking into, as well.
