I have had Jay's experience with the Willson 3400 and I concur. I use it for everything I do with a rare exception or two. It is a superb horn and, to answer your question, directly, it is worth the extra money. From the moment I picked the horn up until this very day, I think it is a wonderful instrument. I also have several horns; the next best Eb to the Willson is a very large Conn Eb from 1912 with three valves. Even though the underprivildged tones on this horn speak very well, it is no match for the Willson.
