Only the brass section was at this particular session. The strings had a session early that day, and the woodwinds would be recorded after the brass. No percussion, Hans Zimmer likes to add electronics for that. The brass included (if I remember correctly) three trumpets, four trombones, eight horns, five tubas and a euphonium doubling the 1st tuba. I got to see some scores for that session along with most of the other music recorded at other sessions and it looks almost identical to the orchestrations for Crimson Tide or Gladiator. Nothing really flashy in the brass (as is the norm it seems for Hans Zimmer), but some incredibly rich sounds. I really enjoyed it.
