Try going to:
www.wwandbw.com
www.dillonmusic.com
They give trial periods on mouthpieces (requiring downpayments that can be refunded upon return of mouthpiece, restocking fees, etc.)
With my past experience I have had great luck trying out these places and the mouthpieces they have...
Try as many mouthpieces as you can, cause you never know what will work best with you and the horn. A mouthpiece can do a lot to a player if it is chosen wisely and correctly. I am currently playing on a Parke Ofenloch (parke.net) which my tuba prof here got on loan, and I had to buy after playing it. This mouthpiece was the perfect compliment to me and my horn. Tuning wise, articulation and tone wise it was an improvment in all areas (not drastic, but enough to notice) It only took 4 1/2 years to find! woo hoo! :o) Be patient and good luck!
A good mouthpiece to look at that that isn't to expensive is the Conn Helleberg. Check it out!
