Just remember that most of the Tenor Tuba part is SOLO so don't be timid at all. You've gotta be two things when you're playing a piece like The Planets; Aggressive and Sensitive.
Be sensetive to the balance when things aren't soloific and be aggressive enough so you can dominate the piece as opposed to the other way around.
