Make a visit to your local hardware store or Home Depot and check out their selection of hard rubber casters. These are the things that are basically a U-shaped galvanized steel mounting flange holding a hard rubber wheel (not the fancy furniture casters, but the industrial sort made for heavy loads). You should be able to find a size comparable to the wheels you'd like to replace. Simply file, grind, or drill off one end of the axle so that it can be removed, and you've got your wheel. It'll probably last a lot longer than the hard plastic wheels on your case.
