I have the first one and it is an excellent horn. I really don't have any complaints, plays great through all of the registers. . . might be a bit big if you're going to an F tuba sound. . . great for quintet, solo, band, and orchestra for me. . . your mileage may vary. . . be sure to play everything before you buy. . . my horn was much nicer than the other one they had at the time (I have the silver one, there was a laquer one at Custom, but I think they've made more since then)
