I'm going to approach this a little differently than most of the replies I've heard so far, so bear with me. I have asthma, and I have passed out a couple times practicing due to not taking enough breath in passages. I had a long talk with several people about this and they recommended that I learn to circular breathe, not necessarily to perfect that process, but to improve my breathing technique. Ever since I've started learning how to do this, I've developed a lot quicker, fuller breath than I was before. That's because you have to have these quick breaths when you circular breathe. So my answer to this would be that it's not a bad thing to learn, because it will help you even if you never learn how to fully circular breathe.

Sincerely,
