Conn advertised the 10J in 1964 as a "Special lightweight model. Extremely responsive, precision intonation, with a beautifully rich symphonic tone." Ain't advertising copy great? Seriously, although a smaller horn with only three valves, it has a nice full tuba sound and is a good horn for starting back up on. $600 with a hard case is an excellent price if it is in good playing condition.
