Assuming you're on a Bb, it should be fingered 2nd valve. A trick I've learned for getting out high notes is to lick your lips and slightly roll both lips under just a little, but it has to be EQUALLY. Whatever you do, don't roll under the bottom lip any more than the top one. Also put plenty of air behind it. To build up good high chops, start doing clarke studies in all of the keys, starting on maybe say a bottom of the staff F or a 2nd line Bb and play them in all 12 keys, gradually getting higher and higher until you can't play them anymore because they're so high. Do this (preferably towards the end of your practice session) every day and slowly you'll start being able to not only get out higher notes, but the ones you could already get out will sound much better and will be much easier to play. Good luck on it!

Austin
