I don't care what anyone else says, it is worth it. My dad switched after 30 years of playing BBb. It is WELL worth switching. Take away 2 feet of pipe, give it better response and a sound that fits the american orchestra better, and you've got a CC. Other people will tell you different, but they are the ones that play BBb.
