No... Ron Nelson hates euphonium players. I played on an recording of nothing but Ron Nelson tunes, looking at the euphonium parts, they could have been played as well on a big tuba.
I have always had questions about Nelson's octave placements, or mis-placements. Sometime the same lick has different octave transpositions, sometime within the measure. Rocky Point has that. I can't find a logic behind it.
Anyone else noticed this?
