Go to www.wondermagnet.com They have really strong magnets that are fairly cheap. I have had some success using the ones I bought from them. I think even the kit has it's limitations though. I don't think really big or sharp dents can be taken out very well unless it is thin brass as some tubas are but old "heavy" tubas may not respond to this.
