This fine tubist is born in Australia, and has been around in Oslo, Norway, since the seventies I believe. For quite some time he teached at the conservatory. A wild guess: Marcus Knight is in his late fourties, perhaps early fifties.
Nowadays the swede Torbjorn Quist from the Norwegian Opera holds the teaching position.
Yes, Mr. Knight has a marvellous sound! Hirsbrunner 290 CC, last time I observed him. You should really check out the orchestra's recording of Prokoviev, Romeo and Juliet, conducted by Mariss Jansons. Most likely on EMI. That's one of my all time classical fav's!
