Nowadays the swede Torbjorn Quist from the Norwegian Opera holds the teaching position.

Yes, Mr. Knight has a marvellous sound! Hirsbrunner 290 CC, last time I observed him. You should really check out the orchestra's recording of Prokoviev, Romeo and Juliet, conducted by Mariss Jansons. Most likely on EMI. That's one of my all time classical fav's!
