Not as noticeable as the Sousaphone in Zhivago, or the touchtone phone in the Leopold and Loeb movie, but in The Godfather (I) the scene where Michael goes to see his father in the hospital, there is a brief view of the nurses' breakroom. A phonograph is shown playing the run-out grooves of a record. It's 1945. The phono shown was a model which would not appear until 1954.
