Until recently, I used an Erikson ME-4 which I had bored out. I bought my horn about 3 years ago, and the mouthpiece really worked well for me. Now, I'm using an Elliot 132 with a 7 shank, and an R cup. I find that it works even better than my previous choice. When you purchase a Willson tuba, they give you the option of a free Erikson mouthpiece (Marty Erickson designed the horn) or a 1 year subscription to the TUBA Journal. I chose the mouthpiece because a subscription is like $25 and a mouthpiece is about $100. My friend uses a PT-50 on his 3050 and sounds fine.
