The G-50 is a good all-around horn, and the 2155 is a little more geared toward larger ensembles. If you are planning on buying an F-tuba later on, it would be better to get the 2155 now. I know some good players who play the 2155 as their only horn, and are successful in doing so. The G-50 is probably easier to play, but for orchestra and band stuff, the 2155 would be better suited.
