About the cited German prices can be said, that they comprise a VAT of 16 or 17%.
From my contacts in the brass dealerships I have been told, that Yamaha has a rigourous control with retail prices and customer rebates. If the dealerships do not abide to these rules, then it will have financial consequences for them.
From personal experiences I can say that I have been astonished how unqualified people Yamaha have hired in in their national wholesale organisations.
And it is not true, that European dealerships have direct access to Japan. There are 2 or 3 layers in between. Whereas B&H with all their internal problems have had a quite direct contact between dealerships and factory.
