I have heard a rumor that there will be an F tuba version of the now famous Conn 52/56J coming out. Are they planning on doing an Eb version? It seems to me like that would only be natural, as the bell design is from an old Eb anyway. Such a horn could be ideal for quintets, solos, and small venues.
I have been trying to buy a bass bone, but it keeps falling through so I may save up for this if it will be soon. In the meantime, my quintet loves the rich sound of my 1290CC although I would prefer the agility of a smaller horn in that kind of environment.
