The guy who won NRO is a wonderful player from Indiana University named Kevin Sanders. Last year I had the pleasure of playing in an ensemble with Kevin and it was truly a learning experience. I was able to spend a week at the school and Kevin showed his leadership in the studio with his rigorous work ethic and drive for perfection. NRO has made a wise choice and won't regret it. I'm looking forward to hearing some of those recording with him in the orchestra. From what I understand they are doing some pretty heavy tuba lit. I'm sure Kevin is ready and invites the challenge.
