Whatever Bryan...the original poster wanted insight, not some smarmy dig justified with a "follow your heart" sentimentality. Recognizing more than one possibility for your future is NOT "discouraging dreams", to even suggest that is close-minded and certainly NOT "insightful."
"Just follow your heart"....and "looking for insight" are fundamentally opposed to each other, "insight" is cognitive and when looking at other perspectives, FAR more objective than "following one's heart."
