Conn 14K:
- large bore (.734")
- better in tune than either 20K or King (Check the bottom-of-the-staff 20K F, for instance...' not as bad as 20J tuba, but not good.)
- big sound
- tons of 'em around here and there in either playable condition, overhauled, or overhaulable condition
- usually cheaper than Conn 20K's and Kings
- weigh less than 20K's
- most parts still available...Destroyed valves can be replaced with valves salvaged from some "basket case" fiberglass Conn 36K off of eBay, etc.
