I know this may sound silly and related, but, do you keep your wallet in your back pocket??? I find that ifI sit for an extended period of time (long car trips, long rehearsals, whatever) with my wallet in the back pocet, my hips and thigh really start to hurt. I doubt this is the cure-all for you, but I find that it makes a difference, tuba or no tuba.
