Reynolds Contempora is OK. They are the same as F.E. Olds. Just in case the instrument you're looking at needs any, new replacement pistons are not available. New mouthpipes and bits are available as are fingerbuttons and stems. Original pistons in reasonably good shape are rebuildable (if needed) by a fellow in Indiana, but the price is not cheap, and you would have to have someone unsolder and resolder the valve section from-to the instrument prior to shipping, as this is required for rebuilding valves. These Olds/Reynolds instruments bear many mechanical (valve section) similarities to King, but the Olds/Reynolds body and bell is a bit bigger than King - perhaps comparable to the old Conn 14K model.

As a hobbiest, I would not spend the money on complete restoration - only "play condition" work. A restoration would probably only be "worth it" (dollars-in vs. worth) for a school...and only at a school where the instrument would not be torn up again right away.
