Here's something to consider when ordering a gig bag. I have two different bags which both have pockets for sheet music on the front side. Because the valves are also on the front, the music folder in the pocket gets bent and dog-eared. I wish the bags had music pockets in the back, where the flat side of the tuba is. Such pockets probably can't be on the outside because of the carrying straps, but why not on the inside? I am planning to make an inside pocket with a velcro flap to hold my band folder. I wish I had thought about it years ago. Whether any bag now available has such pockets I do not know.
