There was a "Psycho-Grass" band called the Bad-Livers that had a couple cd's out in the late 90's that made extensive us of the tuba. The player played bass and tuba, both very well. The best of the cds was called "Hogs of the Highway". Sorry I can't remember the guys name. "Pyscho-Grass" is a hybrid of the ultra-fast "New-Grass" movement combined with an Emo/Punk undercurrent. It is very cool. The players are top-notch, but the content of the songs, or their gist may not be to some peoples liking. I always thought String Cheese Incident would sound great with tuba. Hope this helps.

Chuck
