I have some questions. When people ruin their chops and can't play anymore, what is actually going on with the chops? You never hear about people doing too much running or too much weight lifting and they suddenly can't run or lift weights anymore for the rest of their life. Sure athletes get career ending injuries but not usually from over-use of a muscle.

Also, why is 4 hours a day OK but 6 hours a day not? If someone is playing 6 hours a day what actually happens in their face that would cause them to not be able to play when they're 60? Are there specific examples of people this has happened to?

I'm not asking these questions to be critical, they are honest questions. Please see my previous message to see where I'm coming from. Good to talk about this.
