I would play on both horns before making any decision. The horn in your hands will make your decision for you. Make sure to play in different sizes of rooms if possible, and outside. It is good to hear what your tuba will do for you in different situations. When I purchased my Mirafone, I had my choice of 52 Mirafones, and I played 14 of them to determine which one I would choose. While they all had ALMOST identical playing characteristics, there were differences enough to make me want one more than the others. Also, remember that you can always play softer, but a horn that just won't deliver the goods when you need it is a liability. Choose which horn you think will give you the better options for the long haul. I think that either of these horns will be fine for you.
