I think we both can agree that the original poster would do well to sit down and carefully examine exactly how deeply-rooted is his commitment to a career in music education and whether he is prepared to accept the sacrifices that might come with such a career choice. We can talk about philosophy all we want, but in the end the poster's decision must be a personal one.
