Well, no matter--it's not my tuba. It IS in remarkable condition--barely has a little wear on the first two spatulas, otherwise it could've just arrived from Markneukirchen. I'm just rolling out a ding in the bell where the owner dropped his mouthpiece. But in spite of the ringing (or what I perceive to be ringing anyway), it's very responsive and a lot of fun to play. The owner's having sinus surgery, so it'll be with me for a couple of weeks. Maybe I'll hitch a belt around the bell and have some fun with it.
