I just played one for the first time at a recent conference in the Twin Cities. Based on that experience (albeit rather short), I'd say it was one of the 3 finest tubas I have ever played. I can't give you any more information, but the owner of the horn I played frequents this board as well, so hopefully he can shed some light on this.
