I didn't look at the brochure, but I assume you're referring to an aluminum string bass.
When I went to National Music Camp (now "Interlochen Arts Camp") as a "kid", they had a few of those in the "bass hut" next to the lake.
(Perhaps they're still there...???)
I won't implicate myself, but "a couple of guys" very late one night duct-taped the F-holes shut on two of these, flipped them over, straddled the basses, and had a "boat race" across the lake...
