It's not a "double tuba" in the same sense that a french horn is a "double horn". It uses the same set of tubing for the "CC" side, but with extra tubing(if I remember correctly-and please let me know if I don't, it works something like with the 5th and 4th valve down, you get a 3 valve tuba in CC). All in all, it's a quite versatile F tuba if you absolutely love it, but not a replacement for a CC tuba.

Now a TRUE F/CC double tuba, with double valves and 2 sets of tubing for 4 valves, THAT would be rather incredible!
