Back again after a few days with a broken cable modem. The jury-rigged replacement allowed for reading the Yahoo version of TubeNet, but could not manage the huge size of the main board within an acceptable time schedule.

However I have been in private correspondence with Bob, who sent me a series of the photos of the instrument in question. basically telling the before- and after-histories. To be found via the link given below here.

Here a selection of links for other BBb instruments coming out of the Cerveny heliconmill. Engravings as always variable, when coming out of that house. As always the Yahoo identity = brassphotos and the password = public can be used:

Thumbnails of 3 Amati BBb helicons with 4 rotors. Today we only see these instruments with the Cerveny engraving:

Thumbnail of a 1950’s Cerveny BBb helicon (4 rotors) with its owner/player Jan Lybeck of Gothenburg, Sweden:

Thumbnails of a two Cerveny BBb helicons (4 rotors) with the Lignatone engraving used circa 1950 to 1970 on some markets:

Bob's title for the photo hoepfully popping up above here: Bell slurry 2nd pass. If it does not pop up, it it can be seen as part of the series linked to.
