Yup, you got it. Particularly if the dealer doesn't have it in stock, he'll usually quote and charge full MSRP. I've let a couple of the stores put in bids on fairly minor (less than $300) name-brand items. When confronted by a quotation from an out-of-state dealer that comes to half of the quoted amount (even with shipping), the response is usually a shrug.
