One of the recordings he did with Reiner was Prokofiev's Alexander Nevsky, which is for orchestra and chorus, and features the tuba very prominently. Due to the mike placement for the chorus, Mr. Jacobs had a mike fairly close to his bell, which allowed him to back off dynamically, and produce his best tone. This is reportedly his favorite recording.
