Whatever else you try, *don't* make a decision without trying a Hirsbrunner. And if you
can find one to try, an Alexander 151. The Hirsbrunner has an outstanding intonation
and low-register. The Alex has incredible tone and efficiency (dynamic range).
You can get the Alex with a fifth valve. Hirsbrunners are only available through Custom
Music which is why they are not so common and you don't hear a lot about them. Alexanders
are available through Tony Clement.
